Conservation Advisory Committee & Fund
The purpose of the Sequoia Park Zoo Conservation Advisory Committee is to support the Zoo’s Conservation vision. The objectives of this Committee are to raise public awareness of relevant conservation issues, to propose fund-raising ideas for the Conservation Fund, and to select conservation projects to support with Zoo Conservation Funds. This Committee serves in an advisory role to the Zoo Foundation Board of Directors.

Conservation Grants Program
The Sequoia Park Zoo’s Conservation Advisory Committee is excited to announce the launch of its new Conservation Grants program. In support of the Zoo’s mission to promote wildlife conservation, these grants will contribute dollars directly toward wildlife and habitat conservation projects on an annual cycle. A dollar from every Zoo membership goes toward funding this conservation effort. 
The Committee is accepting grant proposals now through January 31, 2012. Proposals should be submitted by individuals affiliated with a research, education or management organization and should have a direct impact on wildlife conservation. Support is limited to projects that can be completed within one year; funds will be granted up to $1,000. A post-project report will be required upon completion of the awarded project.
