Cub ClubCub Club is a wild adventure for the young explorer. During each class we learn about animals through intimate encounters, hands-on exploration, theater, storybooks, art and more.
      Jr. ZooksThe Jr. Zookeeper program provides hands-on experience working with Zoo animals. Jr. Zookeeper activities include caring for, feeding and making special treats and enriching activities for our animal ambassadors.

Barnyard Buddies

Panda-monium

Red pandas and Giant pandas both belong to theorder Carnivora, yet they eat bamboo. Spend the week exploring these amazing animals, as well as their close relatives. We will also create some
special enrichment treats to welcome our new Red panda arrivals.

   

From Dinosaurs to Dodos
Monday-Friday

Is a Velociraptor really a chicken’s distant
relative? Are alligators really living fossils? Why do birds lay eggs and have scales on their feet? Come spend the week cracking open the mysteries of dinosaurs, reptiles and birds and how these very different animals may be closer kin than you think.

Panda Party

Let’s celebrate the arrival of our new zoo ambassadors, the Red pandas. This weekwe will learn about pandas, make panda crafts and plan the first ever “Panda Party” to welcome our new zoo friends.
   

Clever Canids

What is a Canid? Well, it’s a dog, wolf,
fox, jackal and a coyote! Let’s explore this
amazing family of mammals. The Zoo’s
star foxes— Farah Foxett and Phoenix—
will surely want to join in the fun.
   

Forest Explorers

Come join us this week for fantastic forest fun as we explore Sequoia Park and the animals that live within the redwood forest. We will be making special treats for our forest friends that live in the zoo, as well as searching for hidden treasures in the famous Forest Explorers treasure hunt.

Pampering the Primates

What makes a primate a primate? How come Lemurs are only found in Madagascar? Join us in our most popular Junior Zookeeper class. This week we explore the world of primates and make enrichment treats for our primate

Waterworld

Animals around the world depend on water. This week we explore water around the world, from the deep oceans to the streams in our backyard Sequoia Park. Activities include meeting and feeding some of the Zoo’s watery friends and a stream study in the park.
