Bring your class to the Zoo for an unforgettable day of experiential education. School field trips receive a special rate of $1.00 per student. A reservation must be made at least two weeks in advance (adult chaperones free). Reservations can be made by phoning (707) 441-4263 or by email. Classes arriving without a reservation will be charged regular Zoo admission.
A trip to the Zoo is a great experience on it's own, but you can also tailor your class' visit to meet your needs with the below options.
Activities Available
Zoo Tours
Tours are approximately 30 minutes in length and cost an additional $1 per student ($20 minimum). Adult chaperones are free of charge. Available tours include: Primates, Bear & Foxes;Birds & Peccaries; or The Barnyard.
Movies
Movies are 35 minutes, and cost $10 each. Available for grades K-3 are: Animal Families, Safari Animals, or Rainforest Animals. Available for grades 4 and above are: Apes, Amphibians, Birds or Bears.
Visit the Contact Corral
An additional reservation is required for your class to enter the Contact Corral. Each half hour reservation accommodates up to 25 students. For the welfare of the animals, only 15 people are allowed in the Contact Corral at any one time. If your group is larger than 15, you will be asked to split in half and alternate between the Contact Corral and other Barnyard exhibits.
