Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation
Founded in 2004 as a non-profit support organization for the City of Eureka-run Sequoia Park Zoo, the mission of the Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation is to promote and stimulate interest in the Sequoia Park Zoo and support the zoo’s development, operation and education programs through fundraising, marketing, and other initiatives designed to enhance the zoo experience.
In the past several years, the Foundation has received substantial funding to support the construction of state of the art buildings, displays, exhibit renovations and education programming. Sequoia Park Zoo offers a better experience for residents and visitors alike because of the Foundation’s support.
Working in close partnership with the City of Eureka to provide the Humboldt County community with a spectacular facility, the Foundation facilitates:
- Fundraising endeavors
- Membership
- Marketing
- Guest services (we operate a quality café and an excellent gift shop)
- Special events
The Foundation is governed by a dedicated Board of Directors. Interested in getting involved? E-mail Board President Chuck Dominick for information on joining a committee or the Board.
