Get Ready for High-Style Delights at the 8th Annual Zootini Gala
JULY 29, 2014—Join friends and zoo residents at the annual high-style Zootini fundraiser on Saturday, August 16 from 5:00 to 9:00 p.m. at the zoo. This year’s guests will enjoy a preview of the Watershed Heroes exhibit featuring River otters, salmon, and the new Learning Lab. In addition, your ticket includes evening zoo access, a souvenir martini glass, two drink tokens, a full catered dinner, and music.
“This year’s Zootini is extra-special because attendees will see how their generous donations have helped to build this wonderful new exhibit,” said Chuck Dominick, Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation President. “Guests will have the chance to get up close and personal with the River otters and salmon a day ahead of the official grand opening.”
Zootini attendees will enjoy a delicious gourmet dinner catered by Cassaro’s Catering, music by the Jim Lahman band, live and silent auctions, and up-close animal encounters. The Monkey Bar, hosted by Six Rivers Brewery, will feature this year’s signature cocktail, the Hero-tini, named in honor of the new exhibit. Additional “zoo-tinis” and other cocktails, a wide selection of beer and wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will also be available.
The “Lucky You” wine pull makes a return appearance, where guests will have the opportunity to win a bottle of wine valued at $100 or more. Three zoo-themed raffle prizes will also be up for grabs – a behind-the-scenes tour of the River otter exhibit, the opportunity to feed a red panda, or a hosted birthday party at the zoo.
Advance-purchase tickets are encouraged and available online at the zoo’s website (www.sequoiaparkzoo.net), at the zoo ticket booth, by mail, or by calling 707-442-5649. Prices are $75 per person for zoo members; $85 for non-members; and $100 at the door. Purchase a table for eight and experience Zootini in style with your own personal table butler and acknowledgement in the program, all for $600.
