#GivingZooDay – November 28

Sequoia Park Zoo Joins the Global Movement with #GivingZOOday

EUREKA, CA – There’s Black Friday, Cyber Monday, then #GivingTuesday or #GivingZOOday as we call it! This is a day when people around the world come together to give back. The Sequoia Park Zoo Foundation invites you to participate, have fun and support the Zoo on November 28th, 2017.

Tune in as we broadcast LIVE and BEHIND-THE-SCENES from the Zoo on Sequoia Park Zoo’s Facebook page. Meet the Zoo Keepers at 9:00 AM, 12:00 PM, 3:00 PM and 5:00 PM.  We’ll go into the Zoo animal kitchen and explore their diets, get to know Snoodle the opossum, watch animal feedings, and see special enrichment!  Explore our Zoo as never before, then show your support by clicking the website DONATE button at www.sequoiaparkzoo.net.

Participate in the #UNselfie photo movement for #GivingZOOday!

  1. On a heart, write your favorite animal at Sequoia Park Zoo.
  2. Take a selfie with your heart and post to Facebook with hashtag #UNselfie and #SequoiaParkZoo.
  3. Show your support! Make a Donation: Give $10.00, Tag 10 Friends to match your gift!
  4. Make it fun, use the custom #GivingZOOday photo filter located on SPZ Facebook.

#GivingZOOday highlights the impact zoos and aquariums have on their communities – saving species from extinction and by engaging visitors to be better stewards of the environment. It inspires people to come together and make an impact – improve their communities, give back to the causes they believe in, and help create a better world.

Every act of generosity counts! Your participation and contribution-of any amount makes a difference. Thank you for supporting your community Zoo!

Have fun with your furry, finned and feathered friends at the Zoo: LIVE!
