January – October 2013
Conservation lecture by Gary Falxa in the zoo classroom
Join us for our 7th annual Zootini gala–a benefit to support the Sequoia Park Zoo. Funds raised at this 21 & over only event will go towards the new Watershed Heroes project–scheduled to break ground this summer–which will bring otter, salmon, and bald eagles to the zoo in 2014. These projects are made possible with the generous support of our community. We look forward to seeing you at Zootini!
Enjoy a high-style evening featuring:
- Up-close & personal animal encounters with zookeeper talks
- Live music by Lost Coast Marimbas
- Catered dinner buffet by Uniquely Yours
- Exciting live and silent auctions
- Lucky You! wine pull: purchase a $10 ticket and pull out a bottle of wine worth anywhere from $5 to $150 – it’s luck of the draw.
- Full “Monkey Bar,” hosted by Six Rivers Brewery, featuring mouth-watering zoo-themed cocktails including this year’s theme cocktail, the Regal Eagle. More traditional cocktails, as well as a wide selection of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages will be on hand to satisfy every palate—wild to domestic.
- Plus, a chance to explore the zoo in the evening hours!
Tickets will go on sale in July.
- $60 advance tickets for Zoo Members
- $65 for non-members
- $75 at the door
This event is 21 & over, only. Your ticket includes dinner, souvenir martini glass, animal encounters, auctions & music.

Bring friends and family for a free day of fun at Sequoia Park Zoo, thanks to the generous sponsorship of Pacific Gas & Electric. The zoo will also be celebrating International Red Panda Day, with Red panda-themed activities between 11 a.m. and 3 p.m.. Zoo visitors can have their faces painted like a Red panda, watch the Red pandas create a unique paw-print painting, and then enter a raffle to win the painting. Keepers will also present talks on charismatic zoo residents during the day.
Join the Arcata Chamber Members at Sequoia Park Zoo for its monthly networking mixer. This is a great opportunity to network with fellow business owners, promote your own business, or even win a prize! Participate in the “buck-a-minute” promos, or donate a raffle item to advertise your business! Refreshments will be provided.
Enjoy spooky family fun and discover the world of bats, spiders, snakes and more with exciting games and activities. Plus, animal encounters and a costume parade. Activities included with general zoo admission; members join the fun for free!
